ABOUT ERNEST MTAYA Ernest born 1970 in Dar e S Salaam Tanzania and be attended different art courses and workshops as well workshop management. he experimented the many facets of water colour and pencil shading and now is a succefuly artist and art Instructor for children and Young People, his work has brought him recognition as the first Best fine artist in Tanzania 2000 awarded by Tanzania Cultural Trust Fund. Ernest work as an artist but mostly as Instructor for children and Young People, he is founder member and current Chairman of registered group know as Dar Art Youths(DAY),he participated in several art Exhibitions National and International, he also organises several art exhibitions to his students and other youth aiming to bring up their talents, he taught International art workshops in Beira and Maputo -Mozambique and twice in Finland in Hyvinkaa and another International, workshop held at Kreluu Teacher's Centre in Iringa -Tanzania, he has been invited as guest teacher at International School of Tanganyika -Dar Es Salaam-Tanzania KG and Elementary he judged several art competitions for children in 2002 he had art tour in England.and he illustrated several books for women's education and other as well educational posters ,some of his works can be found to the film titled Maanagamizi on this website www.grisgrisfilms.com then click Maangamizi or The Ancient ones then original art work or click the name of Artist Ernest Mtaya on file on your computer and find results.
